HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN….. Some snow showers (50%) to start off the weekend with temperatures warming up to the middle 30’s with a half inch or less accumulation possible. More light snow continues into Saturday night with a low around 21 degrees. Persistent snow showers hold on for Monday and Tuesday with highs in the upper 20’s and lower 30’s.

SNOWSHOE…. A 70% chance of light snow Saturday with highs around 30 degrees. Daytime accumulation will be less than one inch. More snow (80%) for Saturday night with 2 to 4 inches possible. Lows will fall into the lower teens. A chilly Sunday with highs in the upper teens and a 40% chance of snow.

WINTERGREEN…. Clouds move back in to start the weekend with a 20% rain chance and highs in the middle 50’s. Temperatures fall into the low 30’s Saturday night with isolated rain changing to light snow. Skies will be partly cloudy for Sunday with temperatures warming up into the upper 30’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Partly cloudy skies for Saturday with gusty winds from the west up to 30mph. Temperatures warm into the low 50’s. Passing clouds move through for Saturday night with lows in the middle 20’s. Sunshine returns for Sunday with highs in the middle 40’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Partly cloudy skies to start off the weekend across the High Country with highs in the low 40’s. Skies will cloud up Saturday night with lows in the low 20’s. Sunday will be cool with a morning snow flurry possible and highs in the low 30’s. Sunshine is back for Monday with highs in the middle 40’s.
