Friday’s Early Weather Update

Wisp Resort in MARYLAND – After 2-4” of snow overnight Thursday night there is more snow on the way for Friday morning.  Gradually clearing on Friday and a high near 32°.  Saturday should be a little mix of snow and then a slight chance of underdeveloped snow later in the day with a high near 36°. More chances of snow at night with the low near 16°.  Sunday should be sunny and cold with a high near 33°

Snowshoe Mountain in WEST VIRGINIA will be reporting in the AM that they got snow all night and snow totals should be in the 3-4” category. More snow in the AM with ANOTHER 2-4” possible. Highs near 25° during the day. Winds will be in the 10-15 mph range. Friday night will be cold with a low around 12°. Wind chills will be -2 to -8° as winds will gust to the mid 20mph range. Saturday should be partly cloudy and highs near 26° with breezy conditions in the 20 mph range. Saturday night will be around the single digits and Sunday should be sunny and cold with highs MAYBE reaching 30°.

Wintergreen Resort in VIRGINIA – should be getting a bit of snow overnight and maybe 1” by AM Friday.  We’ll post reports later in the day. Look for another 1” of Snow on Friday morning as well and highs getting to 43° as skies clear and turn sunny. Friday night should be clear and cold to around 22°. Saturday and Sunday should be clear and seasonably cold at around 42° for highs and 22° for lows.

NC Mountains – The lows Thursday were only getting into the mid 30s with a little light rain. It will be cloudy Friday with a slight chance of a shower and then maybe a chance of drizzle becoming snow late. Highs Friday should be in the 40s and dropping to 25°.  Saturday should be nice with highs in the low 40s and overnight lows around 22°. Sunday should be Partly Cloudy and a high near 46°
