SNOWSHOE, W.Va. – DJ Jazzy Jeff and Biz Markie will perform at Snowshoe Mountain during this year’s SCION College Winter Break, January 1 – 6, 2007. On Thursday, January 4, college students are invited to the Big Top for a free show with DJ Zimmie, DJ Nugget and headliner Biz Markie. Friday night Pittsburgh DJs Zimmie, Nugget and Hall will be spinning in the Connection for guests dancing pleasure. On Saturday, January 6, see them all, along with headliners DJ Jazzy Jeff and MC Skillz, who will be performing live for the students in the Big Top. All shows begin at 10:00 p.m.
Area college students can take advantage of special vacation packages at Snowshoe Mountain during the SCION College Winter Break. Students will stay 3 nights and ski or ride for four days for only $331 per person. After a long day on the slopes, those 21 and over are invited to the Connection for beer pong tournaments, drink specials and live, late night entertainment.
Biz Markie’s unique style is easily recognized and well received. He is one of the most celebrated entertainers in the industry. In 1988, Biz Markie signed his first record deal with Prism/Cold Chillin’ Records and subsequently with Cold Chillin’/Warner Bros.
DJ Jazzy Jeff, best known for his days rapping with Will Smith and playing his best friend on the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," is one of Philadephia’s best kept secrets. DJ Jazzy Jeff is also recognized as the first corporately sponsored DJ and designer of the first mixer to be made specifically for the scratch DJ.
