Wisp Resort is a fantastic place to enjoy Deep Creek Skiing as it caters to all levels. About 41% of the trails are beginner trails perfect for those learning the skills needed to maneuver down the slope. The other 28% and 31% respectively are devoted to intermediate runs and advanced expert-level slopes, creating a great place for all to enjoy Deep Creek Skiing. The longest run is an easy 1.5-mile long run called the Possum Trail and the most popular runs at Wisp Ski Resort are two black diamonds: The Face and Squirrel Cage. Wisp Ski Area is devoted to upgrading their trail system and, in the past few years, opened another area of skiable terrain, North Camp, creating even more areas to enjoy Deep Creek Skiing. Lastly, to ensure crowd control on the busiest days of the season—which is essential to having a great time while Deep Creek Skiing—Deep Creek Lake Wisp Ski Resort has two quad chairlifts, five triple chairlifts, three ski carpets and four surface tows to keep the lines moving. The loading carpets that Wisp Resort installed were the first of their kind to be installed along the east coast ski resorts and are just what beginners need to feel comfortable when boarding a chairlift. Instead of having to get anxious when the chair comes around, beginner skiers can simply board the carpet and stand still while the carpet transports them to the top of their beginner hill.
