Special events highlight skiing, holidays and a new year!

On December 24 and 25, the Canaan Holiday Celebration includes a Christmas Eve visit from special guests Santa and Mrs. Claus. Executive Chef Nemat Odeh and his culinary team welcomes guests to his dining room to enjoy a special Christmas Eve dinner with an international theme and a traditional holiday buffet on Christmas Day. “Guest won’t want to miss the special gingerbread house that our culinary team is building just for this occasion,” Bostic said. If you plan to spend Christmas at home, you can still enjoy some holiday spirit at the resort on December 27 when the American Mountain Theater brings its holiday theater performance to the valley. This family-friendly evening of entertainment includes music, variety and comedy.
On December 31, Canaan Valley Resort is planning to ring in the New Year with not one, but several parties. “Come to celebrate with your children, your friends or a special someone this New Year’s,” Bostic said. “We have activities to help you celebrate in whatever style you’ll most enjoy with party favors, special menus and entertainment from casual to classy.”

Canaan Valley Resort State Park by Guest Services, Inc., is a 250-room lodge located in Davis, WV. In addition to the lodge rooms, the resort boasts 23 cabins and cottages, and 10,000-square fee of conference space with 10 meeting rooms.
The resort offers downhill skiing and snowboarding on 91 acres with a vertical drop of 850 feet and the longest run at 6,000 feet.
