Another 1-2” of snow fell across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic’s Ski Areas as all of the ski areas reported anywhere from a TRACE of snow to as much as 2”.  Some of the ski areas have picked up about 5” of snow since Thursday or so, and nearly two feet of snow in the last two weeks!

We’re experiencing a mix of precip today as some areas will see snow, some mixed precipitation and some will see light rain.

Here’s the breakdown:

IN NORTH CAROLINA expect snow, sleet and freezing rain through today and tonight with highs in the low 30s or so.  Tuesday should be mostly cloudy with highs near 40. More FRIGID COLD is headed in for this coming weekend!

AT OBER GATLINBURG expect some snow and possibly a little rain today with a high near 40. Maybe a little snow overnight tonight as lows dip to the upper 20s. Tuesday looks like snow early and then a mix of rain with highs warming to the upper 40s.

WINTERGREEN RESORT IN VIRGINIA should see mostly cloudy skies today with some flurries and a high in the mid 30s.  Tonight should be partly cloudy and cold in the mid 20s.  Tuesday will be sunny early with highs in the low 40s and then a chance of snow overnight into Wednesday and Wednesday night.

THE WEST VIRGINIA RESORTS should see Partly Cloudy skies with highs in the upper teens and low 20s. Tonight will be cold into the teens.  Tuesday will start out Partly Cloudy with highs near 21 or so and then Tuesday into Wednesday will be snowy.

We may see some underdeveloped snow (rain) in the middle of the week and then ARCTIC COLD hits again this weekend!

Until Next Time!
