DJ Reports on Cataloochee on Saturday – We did a short couple of hour session this morning. Conditions are still pretty good. It was marbles this morning from mid-station ’bout half way down to the trail merge, then loose granulaur on down. By about 11:30 it had become serious mashed ‘taters all the way from top to bottom.

It was HOT on the mountain even when we arried this morning. My long sleeve shirt and cheapo bibs were too much. Lots of "lesser experienced" folks hanging out at the bottom and generally laying all over Rabbit Hill starting at about 11:00 until we left at about 12:30. We’ll probably go back for a while this evening.
