Airboarding!
We introduced the latest trend in winter sports during the 05/06 ski season. Snowboarding on inflated “air-rockets” is the newest craze in this mountainous state.
The sport is more maneuverable than snow tubes, they travel much faster and by shifting body posture airboarders can come to a complete stop within a few feet.
The resort is also the first ski area in the country to offer an Airboard terrain park.
Après Ski?
Canaan Valley offers many exciting "escapes" such as an ice skating rink, an indoor pool, a health club, and a game room, all of which are offered at the Lodge. Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snow tubing, and night skiing also are available. Snowboarding is allowed on all slopes.
