An exhilarating West Virginia skiing trip is yours when you stay
at Canaan Valley Resort. Don’t have your own equipment? No
problem. We feature Rossignol skis and snowboards for rent. We
also offer lessons by trained professionals for beginners or
those needing a refresher course. Create and unforgettable West

Canaan offers 39 trails for all skill levels and with an annual
snowfall of 150"...there's always plenty of snow to go around!
Bear Paw Lodge, a two-story base lodge, offers 21,000 square
feet of amenities, including a dining room that serves more than
500 at one time. Enjoy your favorite beverage or relax with
friends in Quenchers Pub. Ski and snowboard lessons and rentals
are available as well as child care for 2 to 6-year-olds.
 Airboarding!
We
introduced the latest trend in winter sports during the 05/06
ski season.
Snowboarding on inflated “air-rockets” is the newest
craze in this mountainous state.
The sport is more maneuverable
than snow tubes, they travel much faster and by shifting body
posture airboarders can come to a complete stop within a few
feet.
The resort is also the first ski area in the country to

Après Ski?
Canaan Valley offers many exciting "escapes" such as ice skating rink, indoor pool, health club, and game room are
all offered at the Lodge. Cross country skiing, snowshoeing,
snow tubing, and night skiing also are available. Snowboarding
is allowed on all slopes.

Drawn Sleigh Rides!
Enjoy a ride through the park grounds on an authentic horse
drawn sleigh. Rides will run 10am - 2pm.
Fee charged ($25 per person or $40 couple).

Lodging Profile:
The area plays host to 250 comfortably appointed lodge rooms, 15 rustic
cabins, eight cottages and 34 campsites with electric hookups.
Fine dining is offered in the Lodge, as well as Lounge and snack
bar. There is lodging for more than 2,500 ranging from quiet
inns to condominiums and deluxe mountain homes, within 10 miles
