It was forecasted to get a bit warmer than it did today, however temperatures remained cold enough to make snow all across the Southeast and the ski resorts have really gone full bore with the snowguns!

More LIVE CAMS! We installed two new cameras today and have another ready to put up as soon as the internet connection hits. The new "Big Red Sugar Ski Cam" is now LIVE atop Sugar Mountain and is brought to you by SkiSoutheast.com and the good people of Sugar Ski & Country Club. SS&CC offers slopeside rentals right on the slopes with easy, ski in – ski out access to the slopes. As soon as the Big Red Run opens we will crank this new camera to upload new images every 2-4 seconds…where you can do some people watching!

On-Snow Reports – Austin Beeghly reported in from Cataloochee and here is what he had to say about conditions up there: "I came off the mountain so you could have this reportearly. Things are beautiful up here right now. Cataloochee has done an amazing job of snow making and also the natural helped a whole lot. I spoke with the head snow maker and he said it has been a very long time since they have made so much snow. They have 12 foot banks on the midway. Easy way is very powdery and nice, and the midway (rabbit hill) is nothing but powder most of which is packed. Not too many skiers or snowboarders but the ones here have all said these are great conditions. The Quad was not open at the time of this report because they are grooming it right now. But will be opening in an hour or so. ALL snow guns are off except on Lower Omigosh, and at the base of rabbit hill and easy way where there is a lone gun in. Snow making a sure thing tonight and I will have pics for you the rest of the day after 5. I am sending you some pics I took this morning. See ya
