Good morning my mountain-loving peeps. As I checked my emails, texts and LIVE cams this morning what I did see was a lot of “wet” and fairly substantial cloud cover. What I didn’t see was fog.
The featured photo at the lead to this story is from 9am this morning atop Ober Gatlinburg in the Great Smoky Mountains. The capture above is from the Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway camera. The tramway runs from 9:45am to 9pm daily and it is pretty impressive to see. If you’re patient and catch the camera at the right time you can see trams arriving and leaving the station. Aug 19: Heavy fog at Beech Mountain |
Aug 18: Reports of light fog in the Valle Crucis area, clear in another part of Valle Crucis. Heavy, patchy fog atop Seven Devils. |
