A couple of degrees cooler today with some passing clouds thanks to a cold front…
For WISP, TIMBERLINE and CANAAN… That cold front will also kick up the winds a little today. Look for clouds and sun with a west wind around 15 to 20 mph and highs around 49 or 50 degrees. We may see a sprinkle or two through the early afternoon. Becoming partly cloudy tonight with lows in the upper 20’s. Sunshine and lower 50’s are back for Saturday, with an isolated rain shower (20%) on Sunday and highs in the middle 50’s.
At SNOWSHOE…. Cooler today with a mix of sun and clouds. Gusty winds from the west averaging around 15 mph may bring along an isolated rain shower (20%) with highs around 40 degrees. Clouds are on the decrease for tonight with lows around 30. More sunshine for the weekend, with highs back in the lower 50 middle 50’s.
WINTERGREEN, VA & OBER GATLINBURG, TN – A very mild day with highs around 60 and lots of sunshine. Clear skies for tonight will allow temperatures to fall into the middle 30’s. The weekend will be consistent with today with sunshine and middle 60’s for Gatlinburg, mid 50’s to around 60’s Wintergreen.
HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
For the High Country we’ll wrap up the week with sun and clouds and temperatures in the middle 50’s. Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows in the lower 30’s. High pressure is locked in for the long haul with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies remaining through the weekend into early next week with temperatures in the upper 50’s to around 60 degrees.
