Bonus Day at Wintergreen

First Trax

Stay up to date by getting notified of new posts!

Well folks, this is it – the final final day of the 2013/14 ski season.  Wintergreen is the lone resort open today after Snowshoe rethought it’s prior announcement to also reopen for this weekend.  So it’s the Wintergreen show today, and I for one could not be happier.  I love Wintergreen and I love the people up there.  Such a great mountain.

OK, let’s see what Wintergreen has in store today.  For starters, the weather is cooperating perfectly!  At the time of updating the slope report this morning it was just below freezing.  That is great news as it allowed the snow to setup a bit last night.  The temps today should reach 60 with lots of sun this morning with some clouds entering the area this afternoon.

Looking good at Wintergreen Resort

I’m going to defer to the folks at Wintergreen for what you can expect from them today if you’re lucky enough to get up there (they've got a lot of terrain open!)…

Snow and lots of sun.  Come celebrate the end of the 13-14 season with a GREAT day on the snow!

Hey Missy – you can expect a letter from me posthaste.

I hope some of you are able to make it to Wintergreen for this last day of the 2013-2014 ski season.  This will be one of our last First Trax posts for a while.  I am working on putting together a wrap-up of the season, but it is going a little slower than I had hope.  But, I’ll get that out to you as soon as I can.

Don’t be a stranger to the website this summer, as we will be updating periodically as we get news.  Sugar is building a new slope, so we will definitely be following them and sharing their progress with you.  And Wolf Ridge is bound to give us a few surprises as well.

Take Care, and thank every one of you for a GREAT ski season!
