Are you one of the lucky ones that live in the wild and wonderful state of West Virginia? Right now, Snowshoe Resort WV is promoting West Virginia’s Learn a Snow Sport Month and this coming Sunday, January 31st, they are offering a FREE SKI OR RIDE pass to West Virginia state residents. Qualifying guests should bring along proof of residency in West Virginia along with a filled out voucher. You can get the voucher and print to fill out HERE.

Guests can take their vouchers and present to the staff at the On Mountain Sales Office. For this, they will receive one lift ticket to ski or ride. Residents of West Virginia 13 years of age or older will also get a complimentary group beginner lesson if they purchase rental equipment for the day. The Group Lesson is valued at $47. If you are going to take part in the group lesson offer, lesson times are scheduled for 9, 10:45, 11, and 12:45. Be advised that the children’s ski school program is not included in this offer. The group lesson will last one hour and 45 minutes and will be a beginner lesson that will cover basic skills needed for beginners and low level intermediates. For the offer, rental equipment is considered skis, boots, poles or a snowboard and boot package; costs for equipment rentals are $33 for adults if booked in advance and $39 on site.

Snowshoe’s Communications spokesperson, Laura Parquette, welcomes all West Virginia residents to come out and enjoy a day of free skiing and boarding. She noted that most of the business Snowshoe Resort WV receives comes from guests visiting from out of state, and this special day is specifically to show appreciation for those patrons that live nearby in West Virginia. West Virginia is one of 32 skiing states that is celebrating Learn a Snow Sport Month, which was declared by WV Governor Joe Marchin earlier this month.
