Appalachian Ski Mtn.’s Ice Arena has recently been ranked as one of America’s top 10 outdoor ice-skating rinks for families, along with Curry Village in Yosemite National Park, Squaw Valley, Hotel Del Coronado, Sun Valley Lodge, Keystone Resort, and others. Ranked by the reviews of parents, Trekaroo.com says of these ice skating rinks, “They all have their own special identity, and your children will have fun for sure.”
Trekaroo offers the following tips for parents: “When you go skating for children, it is best to go when the ice-skating rinks are the less crowded. If you have preschoolers, take them during week days when everyone else is at work or at school. If you have children in elementary schools and beyond, take them skating whenever they have a free day or a week-end early during the day when they still have a lots of energy and there are less ice-skaters on the ice.”
