HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. More wintry weather to start off the week. A 40% chance of snow Monday and Tuesday with highs in the low 30’s and overnight lows around 20 degrees. A few morning snow showers for Wednesday with temperatures back in the middle 30’s. A bit warmer with partly cloudy skies and low 40’s by Thursday.

SNOWSHOE…. Some snow to start the week (60% chance) on Monday with up to an inch of accumulation and temperatures in the upper 20’s. A 40% chance of light snow Monday night into Tuesday with lows in the upper teens and highs in the low 30’s. Partly cloudy skies are back for Wednesday with a high around 34 degrees. Warming up to around 40 degrees for Thursday with scattered rain showers for the afternoon.

WINTERGREEN…. Clouds linger for Monday with highs in the upper 30’s. Skies will clear out Monday night with lows in the upper 20’s. Much warmer for Tuesday with partly cloudy skies and afternoon temperatures in the upper 40’s. The dry and warm pattern remains through Thursday with temperatures holding in the upper 40’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Skies will be partly cloudy Monday with warm afternoon temperatures in the low 50’s. By the evening a few passing clouds move through with an isolated rain shower or two. Other than an early sprinkle or flurry, Tuesday will be partly cloudy with highs back in the upper 40’s. Quite a jump in temperatures for Wednesday with highs in the middle 50’s. another warm one for Thursday with upper 50’s and scattered rain showers (40% chance) moving in for the afternoon.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
We’ll see a scattered flurry or two for the early part of Monday, with clouds and sun through the rest of the day and highs in the middle 40’s. Clouds move back in for the nighttime hours with scattered rain or snow showers (40%) and lows in the upper 20’s. Mostly cloudy on Tuesday with some morning snow showers and temperatures eventually warming into the low 40’s. Sunny skies are back for Wednesday with temperatures in the middle 40’s. The first half of Thursday should remain dry, but rain showers move in for the afternoon (50% chance) with highs in the upper 40’s.
