HERES’ THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

Some rain and snow mixing together in parts today…. a few flakes tonight. After that things warm up again.

For WISP, TIMBERLINE and CANAAN…. A cool "Day After" with occasional light snow (80% chance)mixing with rain at times. Temperatures will top out in the middle 30’s. Snow could accumulate to about an inch or so. For tonight the snow continues with an additional 1 to 3 inches or so and temperatures in the middle 20’s. Sunshine returns for Wednesday with the mercury back in the low and middle 30’s.

At SNOWSHOE… A rain snow mix early this morning leads to snow showers with highs in the low 30’s. Look for gusty winds up to 30 mph at time. Through the day, up to a couple of inches of the white stuff are possible. Another 2 to 4 inches possible tonight with lows in the middle and upper teens. A few lingering snow flakes for Wednesday morning with decreasing afternoon clouds and highs in the upper 20’s.

WINTERGREEN, VA – More "liquid snow" for today (30% chance) with highs in the upper 40’s. A bit gusty with west winds as high as 30 mph. Some leftover clouds for tonight with lows in the upper 20’s. Sunshine returns by Wednesday with highs in the middle 40’s.

OBER GATLINBURG, TN – Occasional rain showers (60% chance) through the day with cooler temperatures in the 40 degree range. As the mercury falls toward evening, the rain showers convert to light snow showers. Lows will fall into the middle and upper 20’s. By Wednesday, partly cloudy skies are back with temperatures in the upper 40’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….

Highs in the middle 30’s today with a rain/snow mix changing to all light snow later this afternoon. A dusting of snow for tonight with lows in the middle 20’s. Sunshine returns tomorrow with a high around 42 degrees. Thursday is a little warmer with clear skies and upper 40’s.
