HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN….. A 40% chance of snow today with highs in the low 30’s and overnight lows around 20 degrees. Look for possible accumulation around a half inch or so. Skies will be partly cloudy by Wednesday with highs in the upper 30’s. A bit warmer with mostly cloudy skies and low 40’s by Thursday. Rain showers (50%) will develop by the afternoon.

SNOWSHOE…. Heavy on the cloud cover today with highs in the middle 30’s. A few snow flurries are possible tonight with lows in the teens. Partly cloudy skies are back for Wednesday with a high around 38 degrees. Warming up to around 45 degrees for Thursday with scattered rain showers (30%) for the afternoon.

WINTERGREEN…. Other than an early sprinkle or flurry, today will be partly cloudy with highs back in the upper 40’s. Skies are partly cloudy tonight with a low around 28 degrees. Quite a jump in temperatures for Wednesday with highs in the middle 40’s. Another warm one for Thursday with middle 50’s and scattered rain showers (40% chance) moving in for the afternoon.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Skies will be partly cloudy today with highs in the middle 50′ and lows tonight in the low 30’s. Quite a jump in temperatures for Wednesday with highs in the low 60’s. Another warm one for Thursday with upper 50’s and scattered rain showers (40% chance) moving in for the afternoon.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Partly cloudy skies for the High Country today with temperatures eventually warming into the upper 40’s. The mercury falls into the upper 20’s tonight with mostly clear skies. Sunny skies are back for Wednesday with temperatures in the lower 50’s. An approaching cold front will move in from the west and bring a 60% chance of rain showers on Thursday with highs in the low 50’s.
