HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. A 40% chance of snow today and tonight with a dusting to an inch total additional accumulation possible. Temperatures will only warm up into the upper teens for the afternoon and nighttime temperatures will fall to around 11 degrees. A steady conveyer belt of light snow possible through Wednesday with highs in the low 20’s and lows in the lower  teens.

SNOWSHOE…. Starting off the week with more snow today (40%) with a possible inch or two of new snow and a high around 9 degrees. More snow showers tonight with temperatures around 8 degrees. Snow continues for Tuesday (50%) and Wednesday (20%) with highs in the middle and upper teens.

WINTERGREEN…. Partly cloudy skies to start off the week today, with a gusty west wind and highs around 30 degrees. Clear and cold tonight with the mercury falling into the middle teens. Another round of light snow (80%) for Tuesday with a high around 33 degrees.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Skies clear up to start the week today with highs in the middle 30’s. Temperatures will fall into the upper teens tonight with clear skies. A bit warmer on Tuesday with partly cloudy skies and highs around 40 degrees.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Skies are partly cloudy today with a high in the upper 20’s, gusty winds from the west between 10 to 20 mph. Tonight is quite chilly with lows in the low teens and partly cloudy skies. A few passing clouds for Tuesday, with a snow flurry or two in the mix, and temperatures in the middle 20’s. After an uneventful Wednesday, A 50% snow chance moves in Thursday with temperatures in the lower and middle 30’s.
