Scaly Mountain

Scaly Mountain

Scaly Mountain can be found right at the most western tip of North Carolina, in between Sky Valley Georgia and the resort town of Highlands North Carolina. A mountain paradise, Scaly Mountain provides endless outdoor fun in both the summer and winter. In the warmer months at Scaly Mountain, you can hook your line and fish for wild mountain trout, and enjoy summer snowless tubing and a driving range. Winters at Scaly Mountain always provide plenty of extreme fun; during this time, you can enjoy ice skating and snow tubing. For days when the weather just won’t cooperate, Scaly Mountain has a magnificent snow making capacity with guns that layer foot after foot of beautiful snow onto the snow tubing lanes.

Like most other places to enjoy Snow Tubing, Scaly Mountain requires that all tubers be 42 inches tall or 4 years old. Of course, only the equipment provided by Scaly Mountain should be used when you are NC Snow Tubing. There is also a smaller, safer kid slope available for very young children to enjoy.
