Celebration Sale @ Edge of the World in Banner Elk, NC

This Saturday, November 17, from 9am to 8pm, Edge of the World, located in Downtown Banner Elk, will be hosting their annual Snowboard Party and Storewide Sale to celebrate the sport we all love and ring in an awesome 2012-2013 season! Visitors will enjoy live music, videos, raffles, contests, and prizes.

The two contests are a Skateboard Contest and a No-Talent Contest, both of which are free to enter. The Skateboard Contest will be a jam session format, with the winners determined by the crowd, and prizes awarded for different categories and divisions. The No-Talent contest won’t be announced until it’s time. This way there are no advantages. The sole winner will receive a prize, as well.

Tickets for the raffle are currently on sale and will be available on Saturday, too. Prizes range from small memorabilia to an actual snowboard. A collection of this year’s new videos will be shown on the shop’s several TVs throughout the day, and HUMANZEE, the local Banner Elk band, will be performing in the afternoon after the Skateboard Contest.

All new snowboards, outerwear, winter accessories, and more will be offered at discounted rates. Additionally, one whole section of the store will be labeled "Bargain Bam," featuring last year’s gear that’s marked down drastically.

The day promises to be an exciting event – one that’s sure to be worthy of a 2012-2013 season kickoff! The occasion is one that Edge of the World has been doing for years. The invitation is extended to "anyone young and old who likes to snowboard, ski, sled, tube, or simply enjoy the winter outdoors."
