50th Celebration Family Day at Appalachian Ski Mountain

Appalachian is excited to announce lots of fun events and specials for the whole entire family this President’s Day Monday, February 20.

Activities & specials include:

-Special 2 for 1 ticket offer / buy an 8 hour flex ticket on Monday, Feb 20 and get a free ticket good any day or night in March.

-Free Junior Ice Skating: Children ages 12 and under can skate for free during this special session from 9-11am with a paid adult. Limit 4 Juniors per family.

-Free tickets offered for every Elvis Impersonator! In celebrating the 60’s, all riders who come to the ticket cashier dressed in their best Elvis getup will receive a free day ski ticket! Sideburns and flamboyant costume required!

-Free Professional Family Ski Portrait: Our on-slope photographers at Joshua Easterling Photography will be out on the mountain from 10am – 3pm offering a free digital copy of Family Ski Portraits for all guests. This is a great way to preserve the memories and experience made at Appalachian Ski Mtn.

-Live Music: The Classic Rock & Roll Band “The Crew” will be setup on the slopeside deck (weather permitting) or in the Lodge from 3 – 6:30pm jamming out for all skiers and riders.

-Tethered Hot-Air Balloon Rides: Parks Balloon Aviation, Inc. will be on-site Monday and offer special tethered Hot-Air Balloon Rides from 1:30 – 3:30 (weather permitting). Prices will be $10 for a 10 minute ride.

-On-Site Massages: The Sanctuary Day Spa will be at the Ski Lodge from 1 – 4pm offering specially priced (50 cents per minute) massages for guests.

-Pig Pickin’ on the Deck: Appalachian will roasting a whole pig on-site served on the deck with additional sides including slaw, hush puppies & more with a canned drink. $10 including tax / cash only.

Appalachian’s final 50th Celebration event is scheduled for Saturday, March 10. Check www.appskimtn.com for details as this event draws closer.
